چکیده

Background: Aortic Stenosis (AS) is a common heart valve disease that especially affects the elderly population and seen with aging of society. In recent years Transcatheter aortic replacement patients (TAVR) has been increasingly applied worldwide as procedure for treatment severe AS. Recently, various biomarkers derived marker approaches have studied in AS patient groups many cardiovascular diseases. Since it previously shown increased inflammatory scores poor nutritional are closely associated development process prognosis diseases, we hypothesized these may be after TAVR. Therefore, this study, aimed to make detailed evaluation terms mortality determinants TAVR.
Methods Results: 118 TAVR were included analysis. Median follow-up was 40.5 months. status scores, systemic immune (SII) score (p= 0.027), neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR) 0.012), platelet/lymphocyte (PLR) 0.012) death group found significantly higher. As prognostic index (PNI) 0.003) lower median Controlling Nutritional Status (CONUT) 0.002)) higher.
Conclusion: high-risk undergoing TAVR, measurement malnutrition CONUT SII an risk all causes long-term follow-up. It determined complications related indicator not only short term but also

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: A Review Article

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a novel therapeutic intervention for the replacement of severely stenotic aortic valves in high-risk patients for standard surgical procedures. Since the initial PARTNER trial results, use of TAVR has been on the rise each year. New delivery methods and different valves have been developed and modified in order to promote the minimally invasive p...

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement in elderly patients

Aortic stenosis is the most common native valve disease, affecting up to 5% of the elderly population. Surgical aortic valve replacement reduces symptoms and improves survival, and is the definitive therapy in patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis. However, despite the good results of classic surgery, risk is markedly increased in elderly patients with co-morbidities. Transcatheter a...

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

With the worldwide number of TAVR procedures rapidly approaching 200,000, coupled with an amassed knowledge spanning over a decade, we are able to now reflect on the evolution of TAVR and how changes in technology, operator/institution experience, and patient selection have ultimately affected clinical outcomes. With this in mind, in this issue of JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, Beohar et a...
